1. Because now that FOC is over, Wee all need something else to get excited about. Good things just don't end there.

2. Because after looking like crap for 5 days during camp, you need an opportunity to show how awesome you can look. It's the only day where you get to dress the extreme and it's perfectly alright.

3. Because the pageant contestants from your OG will just die of embarrassment if no one turned up.

4. Because the D&D main committee is just... how should i say it... different.

5. Because Wee are all about style. What shouts style more than the French Riviera theme? (Btw, if you are still wondering what Riviera Rouge means, it simply means Red River when translated directly)

6. Because this is a night where everyone from different OGs get together once again. And also a night for seniors and freshies to bond again.

7. Find out about talents that you never knew about, like how we found out that Joel and Sihan cannot eat that many hamburgers and how Shuqi the eligible bachelorette has a humiliating love for Wonder Girls’ ‘Nobody’.

8. Witness Esther’s (current CS Queen) and Sihan’s (current CS King) final moments of reigning glory. If you are still wondering who they are, go stalk them on FB now.

And so.. back to blogging. I'm sure some of you, or most of you want a better peekture of who are involved with this entire planning which took place 9 months ago. Some have heard the names, some have met them during RSVP, some might have even stalked them. Here goes...

1. Joel- Chairperson

Our very own chairperson for Riviera Rouge. Everyone goes through him before making any planning and decision, and that goes with the theme and the name of our event. Always stressing over DnD, and pushing us with the deadlines. We know he has no choice, and that's why we still love him even on his moody days.

He's always showing a tough front, but in actual fact, he is a damn nice guy, a good friend, cute, hot, and... anyway, that's for you to find out. Oh, and he was one of the male nominees for pageant contestants last year.

2. Nicole- Vice Chairperson

The right-hand woman for Joel, always there to remind Joel and make sure everything is going the right direction. You know you can't make this event happen without her. Psst* and a hot partner for our hot boss.

Comes to work, its all about being tough and serious. BUT when it comes to other-than-work, you know you want her as your buddy.

3. Esther- Secretary

Damn! A hawt secretary for our hot boss? He sure is lucky right. Alright, stop the crap. Well, her role is not all about being hawt and what not, she has an important role here too. She does all the admin stuff which everyone in the committee don't even want to touch, i mean, who loves these stuff. Definitely a big sacrifice on her part. Without her, our boss and lady boss will be in a mess, you know what will happen when that happens.

Wanna know something too? She was the pageant queen for 2009's Dinner and Dance. Who's the king? You'll find out later.

4. Su Yee- Financial Controller

Always sitting a distance away observing others, like what she is doing right now in the photo. She is definitely more than what she seems to be, and i meant it in a positive way. This is also why she is our money person, always chasing us for the money. Definitely a meticulous person too who makes sure we are able to carry out the event smoothly. Without her, you guys wouldn't get to see the existence of Riviera Rouge, i mean, not even the publicity for it.

5. Glenda- Publicity

For those who have seen her, don't be fooled by her size. And i mean it. Although always looking full of crap and crazy, when it comes to work you know she is damn serious about it.

Always thinking of new ideas for her designs to interest people and draw them to this event. She makes sure this event is being heard by everyone out there, pulling their interest to this event, and assuring them of the experience that can't be bought with money.

6. Wilson- Publicity

How can Glenda work alone right? She definitely needs a capable partner to make this event work out. Wilson, our very capable publicity person, you will know it when you see his works. Don't get blown away.

Also the crazy guy out there, i mean, you gotta think crazy before coming out with a crazy idea right? Girls, wanna know something about him? Well, he cooks, and he's an awesome cook.

7. Sihan- Business Manager

Looks tough? He is tough. He makes sure Riviera Rouge gets enough sponsors so that everyone can enjoy the night at Oosh. Always out there looking for potential sponsors, and grabbing hold of them. They always say money makes the world go round. Without him, ticket cost will definitely be much more than just 55 bucks.

Remember i mentioned something about who was the pageant king? Thats right, he was the one. So what do you think? Keep a look out for him, and don't feel threatened by his looks.

8. Kenneth- Business Manager

You know you need someone 'crazy' in the business world. I'm just kidding. Kenneth is our next business manager, working very closely with Sihan. Both of them ensures that Suyee, the fin con, do not go crazy over bankruptcy. More importantly, he scouts for potential jobs that we can participate in to raise funds for this event. Not an easy job.

Oh, and don't be deceived by this photo, he is much deeper than how he look like in real life. Trust me.

9. Xiang Yun- Programmer

One fierce programmer you have over here. Haa, i'm just kidding. She may look fierce (if you have seen her you know what i mean), but in actual fact she is damn soft inside. Yes, she plans all the programs that are going to happen during the day of the event. That's why you shouldn't miss Riviera Rouge at all. You know that after RSVP.

Don't even be afraid to talk to her if you have any questions.

And and.. another thing, she was also one of the female nominees for pageant contestants last year.

10. Emery- Programmer

Our very 2nd programmer for Riviera Rouge. Both Xiang Yun and Emery work hand in hand to plan out, in detail, of what is going to happen during the day of the event. Top secret which i cannot leak. That's why i say you shouldn't miss this next big event.

Oh, by the way the guy beside Em is Steve Aoki. For all clubbers out that, i'm sure you know who he is. Don't be jealous.

11. Lynn- Pageant Coordinator

Nominated pageants, meet our very own pageant coordinator. You guys will be working very closely with her from preparation all the way till the actual event. She will make sure you look stunningly hawt on that day.

Oh, and she was one of the female nominees for pageant contestants last year too. Pageants, feel free to ask her or any of the previous pageants, and the rest of the committee, on anything and everything that you wanna know about.

RSVP to DND

Hello freshies! I believe RSVP has been an awesome one to all those who went for it, right? To all those who didn't go for RSVP, you won't even want to think of missing out on the next big event that is going to happen in WKWSCI. You missed one, you wont want to regret missing out on the other. For those who RSVP-ed, you know you want it, and you know there's no regret in your dictionary.

And yes! WKWSCI Dinner and Dance, that is it! That will be the next big event happening in CS. Riviera Rouge will be happening on the 10th September, thats exactly 48 days from now, and it will be held at Oosh (Dempsey), beside a river. Riviera Rouge is the name for this year's DND, which is Red River when translated directly. It simply means a red carpet event by the river. The reason being is because we want to provide the experience of being a star for the night, i mean, you only watched that on TV and go "OOOO", but this time you will be going "Ahhhh, i've been there, i've done that!" .

For those who RSVP-ed to DND during camp, your seat at oosh has been secured, but for all those who haven't, don't even hesitate because you know you can't buy back the experience once you missed it.
